CaddyBytes 2026 Genesis Final Round Recap: Jacob Bridgeman Wins at Riviera, Holds Off Rory McIlroy for First PGA Tour Title Riviera’s final round brought late pressure and plenty of fireworks, but Jacob Bridgeman finished the job. The 26-year-old third-year pro closed at 18-under (266) to win the 2026 Genesis Invitational, earning his first PGA Tour victory in one of the Tour’s biggest events. Final Leaderboard (from the screenshot) 1. Jacob Bridgeman (-18, 266) T2. Kurt Kitayama (-17, 267) T2. Rory McIlroy (-17, 267) 4. Adam Scott (-16, 268) 5. Aldrich Potgieter (-15, 269) Bridgeman never looked like he was trying to survive — he kept making birdies, including an early one and another key gain as the round developed. That mattered because Rory McIlroy made a real Sunday charge, producing clutch shots and a late birdie at the 72nd hole to apply pressure. But Bridgeman stayed composed and answered on the final green, sealing the win in the tournament’s 100th edition. Kitayama also pushed hard all day to share second, while Adam Scott turned in another strong Riviera performance to finish fourth. The round also featured highlight-reel moments across the course — including hole-outs and a hole-in-one — but the main story was clear: Bridgeman handled Riviera and Sunday pressure like a veteran. This wasn’t a fluke win. It was a complete performance on one of the Tour’s toughest, most respected venues.
